A quote from Hana Fazeel's poem

darling, I swear that the waves of the ocean get their curvature from the arch of your back.

darling, I swear the stars would parachute down from heaven, just to steal the twinkle in your

dark eyes. I swear the moon eludes you, for it's covered in blemishes, yet you are free of flaw.

darling, I swear, if the songbird sings, then it's a hymn to your beauty. my love, I swear the sun

rises just to see you and no one else.

A quote from Mary Kay Cunningham's poem Almost There, Well Maybe!

From her upcoming book A Bandaid For Broken Souls

I feel like we throw the word “healing” around as if it is that simple to do. When the truth is it’s not. Healing has so many different looks to it. Sometimes it looks like having a good day and you are able to smile for once. Other times it looks like crying on your kitchen or bathroom floor. It is not as easy as saying you are going to do it. You are still going to have your moments, but you got to keep going. It takes so much time, effort, and energy. And sometimes you may feel like you don’t have any. You have to be patient with yourself, and keep up with your mental health. Trust yourself, trust the process, I promise you in the end you’ve got this.
