phlnch's poem 'my parade' [7/6, 11:37]

for years, i misunderstood the

rain. always had a show

to run in the sun

as the grass would burn

underneath my feet.

drove on canopied streets, nobody

ever told me they were

parched

under the unrelenting pressures of

the day.
